Registered charities that work to improve the lives of children, young people, families, and adult learners across Scotland can apply for funding to cover core costs for up to one year.
Corra Foundation is offering grants to provide core funding to organisations that improve outcomes for children, young people, families, and adult learners across Scotland. Through the Children, Young People, Families, and Adult Learning Third Sector Fund, a total of £16 million is available to support registered charities across the following priorities:
- Child poverty.
- Mental and physical health and wellbeing.
- Family support.
- The Promise.
- UNCRC.
Funding will support the core costs of groups that deliver one of the following:
- Prevention and early intervention support for children, young people, families, and adult learners, demonstrating engagement with the relevant Children’s Services Planning Partnership.
- Contributing to positive and sustained support for children and young people to achieve their potential using Getting it right for every child (GIRFEC).
- Intergenerational activities that support children and young people to improve emotional development and social skills create lasting benefits they can take forward in their lives.
- Promoting positive mental health and mental wellbeing for children, young people, families, and adult learners.
- Providing holistic, whole family support that is in line with the National Principles of Holistic Whole Family Support, and promotes relationships in families, parenting, play, wellbeing and development.
- Supporting children and families to access their rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and raising awareness of children’s rights under the Convention.
- Supporting children, young people, families, and adult learners who are affected by substance use, physical health conditions, poverty, and inequality, or are recovering from abuse.
- Supporting person-centred/co-production approaches for children, young people, families, and adult learners.
Preference will be given to activities that are associated with prevention and early intervention.
The deadline for applications is 3 September 2022.
