Groups can still apply for funding to promote climate change awareness in children and young people.
Constituted non-profit organisations in the UK have two weeks left to apply for green funding from OVO Foundation.
Projects must integrate young people’s voices and involve at least one of the following:
- Campaigning for better climate change education.
- Increasing opportunities for children and young people to learn from and connect to nature in/around schools.
- Inspiring positive action on the climate crisis in/beyond schools.
There is a focus on children and young people aged up to 25, and areas of greater disadvantage.
A total funding pot of around £1 million is on offer. It is expected that up to three projects will be funded for up to three years, with lower levels of funding for early-stage ideas and up to £350,000 for more established projects.
The deadline to apply is 23.59 on 22 July 2022.
